Mrs. Sonja Stamenkovic
Program coordinator/Lead teacher
Mrs. Sonja holds Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from University of Novi Sad in Serbia. She also has ECE Level 1 credentials which she has achieved through Illinois Professional Development System. Mrs. Sonja has 10+ years of experience in childcare field and her experience extends to her work as a volunteer in a preschool institution and a family nanny. Back in 2012, she was a part of the Au Pair program, for the duration of one year and is successfully running her small family business for over 7 years. Her motivation and passion to teach and care for young children never stops and her all time goal as an early childhood teacher is to prepare and set the children for success in future in every possible way.
Mr. Zoran Milic
Lead/Substitute teacher
Mr. Zoran is well-known as "Mrs. Sonja's right hand" as they run Sunny Kids Land together. He holds Associate's Degree in Pre-School Education from Higher School of Vocational Studies for Teachers Education in Subotica, Serbia. He has 12+ years experience in child care field and has worked with many different age groups ranging from 0 to 10 years of age. He encourages exploration in children with conceptualizing and providing hands-on activities, with his unique creativity during lesson planning, and his goal as an early childhood educator and a daycare owner is teaching children to be independent, brave and most of all happy.
Ms. Angelica Di Falco
Teacher assistant
Ms. Angelica (Ms. Angel) was born and raised in Italy where she graduated in the field of Human Sciences. Besides English, she is fluent in three more languages: Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. In addition to that, she is in compliance with DCFS's training requirements as well as CPR and First Aid certified. Ms. Angel has various experience in working with children and is gentle, kind, responsible, dedicated, organized, reliable individual who is phenomenal addition to our team.
Ms. Sofia Marin
Teacher assistant
Ms. Sofia (Ms. Sofi) is our part-time teacher assistant. She was born and raised in Mexico where she completed her high school education for teachers. Her native language is Spanish and she enjoys teaching kids a new Spanish word each day. Ms. Sofia is in compliance with DCFS's training requirements as well. She enjoys dancing, playing, reading books to children, doing crafts and taking them outside, she is dedicated and compassionate and fosters supportive learning environment.
