Mrs. Sonja Stamenkovic
Program coordinator/Lead teacher
Mrs. Sonja holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. She also earned her ECE Level 1 credentials through the Illinois Professional Development System. With over 10 years of experience in the childcare field, her background includes volunteering in a preschool, working as a family nanny, and participating in the Au Pair program in 2012. For the past seven years, she has successfully managed her own small family childcare business. Driven by a deep passion for teaching and nurturing young children, Mrs. Sonja is dedicated to preparing them for future success in every possible way.
Mr. Zoran Milic
Lead / Substitute Teacher
Mr. Zoran is well known as "Mrs. Sonja's right hand" as they run Sunny Kids Land together. He holds an Associate's Degree in Pre-School Education from the Higher School of Vocational Studies for Teachers Education in Subotica, Serbia. With over 12 years of experience in childcare, he has worked with children of various age groups, from infancy to 10 years old. He fosters a love for exploration by designing hands-on activities and incorporating his unique creativity into lesson planning. As an early childhood educator and daycare owner, his ultimate goal is to nurture children's independence, confidence, and, most importantly, happiness.
Ms. Angelica Di Falco
Teacher Assistant
Ms. Angelica (Ms. Angel) was born and raised in Italy, where she earned a degree in Human Sciences. In addition to English, she is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. She meets all DCFS training requirements and is certified in CPR and First Aid. With extensive experience working with children, Ms. Angel is a gentle, kind, and dedicated professional. Her responsibility, organization, and reliability make her a phenomenal addition to our team.
